Prominent author and news anchor Tom Brokaw, speaking at Pearl Harbor this past week at this year's commemoration of the Japanese bombing attack, said that the brutal surprise attack brought Americans together in a common cause, " . . citizens united on common ground . . ", and spoke of the ultimate success of that spirit of unity, which " . . . spared the world the pestilence of Fascism brutally imposed by German Nazism."

One can only hope the owner of these photos gets a good price for them someday! They are stunning representations of the horror of that day over half a century ago.
